Two private manors in close proximity to Tallinn, Ääsmäe and Järlepa, publicly invite to their salons for an interdisciplinary experience of French music and wine. A glass of Grigniani wine from Rhône valley area and a canapé awaits guests upon arrival (included in the ticket). Both manors seat just about 40 visitors.
Doors open at 6 PM.
6:30 PM Introduction of the assortment of French wines of La Vignoble wine house by Mr Rünno Lumiste, owner of La Vignoble, wine expert and university lecturer.
7 PM Concert of French Baroque Music from the court of le Roi Soleil, performed on copies of historical instruments viola da gamba and harpsichord. Duration of the musical program is ca 1h, plus an interval.
MIKKO PERKOLA – viola da gamba – is a Finnish musician, feminist, father. He studied music at the Sibelius-Academy and at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. Perkola has performed and recorded as a chamber musician in different parts of the world, within and beyond early music: Les Talens Lyriques, Phantasm, Finnish UMO Jazz Orchestra, ensemble Tekijä Tuntematon, just to name a few. Perkola’s recordings of Bach’s gamba sonatas ( Naxos 2008 ) with Aapo Häkkinen and Couperin’s gamba suites ( Naxos 2011 ) have been highly praised. His performances with the Phantasm consort have taken him from London’s Wigmore hall to Hong Kong. In 2017 Phantasm won their third Gramophone award with their Dowland album. Perkola is particularly interested in experimental art and social projects and in making collaboratively through playing, composing, singing and reading with many types of artists.
Mikko Perkola is accompanied by members of Estonian baroque ensemble Floridante, SAALE FISCHER (harpsichord) and VILLU VIHERMÄE (viola da gamba).
