A. J. von Krusenstern memorial room

The memorial room to Adam Johann von Krusenstern (1770-1846) was opened in the castle tower of Kiltsi manor in 1995. Here you will find an exhibition on the lives of von Krusenstern, his son Paul (1805-1881) and his grandson Otto Paul (1834-1871). The exhibition includes some very rare items worthy of every visitor’s attention: as well as the atlas he used for his round-the-world voyage, you will also see Krusenstern’s original engravings, which he made using a copper-cutting technique, and the medal he was awarded as one of the adventurers taking part in the voyage.
