Day trip from Tartu to Ida-Viru County: nature, industrial landscapes, and the city of Narva

Ida-Viru County is an exciting and unique part of Estonia. Here, you can see the architectural heritage from the Soviet era, abandoned mines, and surreal industrial landscapes, surrounded by some of the largest forests and bogs in Estonia. The trip runs along the western shore of Lake Peipus, after which we will stop in typical industrial cities of the last century, and talk, among other things, about the main environmental challenges of Estonia. The final destination of the trip is the city of Narva, which is just a stone’s throw from Russia. At the end of the day, participants can go to a proper Estonian sauna.

NB! The trip starts and ends in Tartu; transport is included in the price.
