The exhibition focuses on the creative dialogue between the Transavantgarde (Transavanguardia), an artistic movement that emerged in Italy in the late 1970s, and the Estonian artists Raoul Kurvitz and Urmas Muru, the founders of the group Rühm T, formed in the mid-1980s. The Transavantgarde rejected conceptual art in favour of emotional sensitivity and the genre of painting.

Rühm T worked in a tumultuous period of immense social and political change, combining mythological, futuristic and architectural visions in their art. The connecting thread between these artistic groups, born in different cultural contexts, but both sparking changes in the art scene, was an approach driven by opposition and new creativity.
