Vene tänav 6, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn
The handicrafts salon sells clothes made by the locals of Hiiu County, which have been decorated with lace: beautiful lace scarves and gloves, crochet angels, and other accessories. Folk clothing lace from Pühalepa and Reigi parishes have been used to decorate the textiles. Hiiu lace, which is a widely spread crocheting method from 19th century Hiiu County, creates a relief on the right line of the lace. This lace is also characterised by long chain patterns, which make the crochet work seem ethereal. The lace on the folk clothes of Pühalepa and Reigi parishes have been crocheted by using this method.
