The Home of Theatre, situated in Tartu’s Old Town, is a theatre inspired by a museum and forms part of the Tartu Toy Museum. It takes its inspiration from our childhoods, the games we played, the dreams we had, and the fantasies we brought to life.
The Home of Theatre hosts performances, but you can also put on your own show, play games, let your creative spirit run free, and discover what goes on behind the scenes in the theatre world. There is a children’s studio on the first floor, in which children’s groups can take part in theatre-themed programmes.
The basement level is home to a museum of puppets, an automated puppet theatre, and a medieval residence unearthed during an archaeological dig.

A lot of old toys and soviet flashback :) Still the kids enjoyed a lot, mostly the playroom on the second floor with a LOT of stuff for kids to do.
Visited together with our 8 years old son. A lot of different interesting toys mostly from Soviet period. So, parents were a bit more interested as 8 years old young guy:)
