Kernu mõis, Kohatu küla, Saue vald, Harju maakond
Kernu Manor is located in a beautiful place. Behind the manor, there is an old manor park, the oldest oak of which is estimated to be over 230 years old. In front of the manor, there is the picturesque Kernu artificial lake, where, in the summer, a lot of water lilies blossom. The artificial lake is a perfect nesting place for different bird species, which is why bird enthusiasts are welcome here. Whooper swans, who are rather rare in Estonia, mark the beginning of spring here every year. If the water level is high, the manor also rents SUP boards, which you can use to explore the waterbody. The surrounding forests are full of mushrooms.
To get to Kernu Manor, take the Pärnu highway (E67) and on the 36th kilometre, follow the signposts next to the Krooning fuelling station to ’Kernu mõis’. Turn towards the fuelling station from Pärnu highway and in a few hundred metres, you will see Kernu Manor on the opposite shore of the picturesque artificial lake. When coming by bus, exit at the ’Kernu rahvamaja’ stop near the Krooning fuelling station. Walk along the road in front of the fuelling station for about 1 km.
