The exhibition presents paintings, graphics, and sculptures from the university museum and library, from Albrecht Dürer's graphics to Enn Põldroos' monumental painting Universitas Tartuensis. The University of Tartu owns nearly 45,000 art objects, with the largest collections of old graphics and antique plaster prints in Estonia.
'Ars academica' sheds new light on the works that accompany professors and students in everyday life on the walls of auditoriums and classrooms, and also brings to the fore works that have not been exhibited for a long time.
