Loode Oak Forest Nature and Study Trail

Loode Oak Forest includes an old oak forest, a wooded meadow and a pasture, a coastal meadow, and rare plant and animal species. It can be assumed that the oldest generation of trees in Loode Oak Forest have remained from the fleet construction campaign initiated by Peter I. In addition to oaks, there are silver birches, downy birches, aspens, ash trees, and rowans. Additionally, there are 14 species of orchids.
Good to know: the forest was placed under protection in 1955. In 2003, a birdwatching tower was built there. It is one of the few natural oak forests in Estonia.
