Nature trail across the Seli bog from Simisalu to Matsimäe

The boardwalk-covered nature trail leading from Simisalu to Matsimäe is 7.5 km long and follows old farm tracks. In places it acts as a bog bridge; in others it is surrounded by low-lying brush. In Kollassaare you will even find a barn and well, although the last people to live here left in the 1960s. Ohusilla Hill, which you will come across along the path, has a ridge created in the last ice age. Lake Seli is somewhat overgrown, but this makes it perfect for the resident beavers when it comes to building dams. From the lake the trail then weaves a path through bogs, coming to a steep end at Lake Pühajärv in Matsimäe.
