Cherry Garden of Suuremõisa Castle

The cherry garden was established nearly 140 years ago. Through a narrow gate you enter a walled secret garden, where you can find shady sitting places and enjoy the beauty of flowers and have a picnic.

At the centre of the garden there is a round pond with lush perennial beds. In addition to cherry trees, the garden is also home to fruit trees, berry bushes and, of course, many flowers. Flowers bloom here from early spring to late autumn. Nowadays, the cherry garden has become a school garden, which is used for apprenticeship training for students of the Hiiumaa Vocational School. New and exciting planting areas and plants are constantly being added to the garden.
Visiting the cherry garden is free of charge but there is a collection box next to the entrance!
