Kondas Centre
The Kondas Centre is an art museum located in Viljandi, focusing primarily on introducing naive and outsider art. The museum is dedicated to one of Estonia's most renowned naive artists, Paul Kondas (1900–1985).
Five exhibition rooms host alternating exhibitions from both Estonian and international artists. Various workshops are offered, and there is a small shop where one can find souvenirs and original artwork.
The Kondas Centre is an exciting destination for families as well. Children are welcomed with playful, educational activities related to the exhibitions, including various board games, picture dominoes, puzzles, and creativity-enhancing games inspired by the works of Paul Kondas and other artists. Workshops and activities in the museum are fun for both younger and older visitors.
Fun fact: The cityscape of Viljandi is adorned with eight large concrete strawberries, inspired by Paul Kondas's painting "The Strawberry Eaters."
