Roman Smirnov is an award-winning artist performing classical and flamenco virtuoso guitar styles, as well as a producer, arranger and composer.

His compositions have an emphasis on emotional, energetic and innovative expressions from a number of cultures and traditions in music. He is inspired by a variety of epochs and genres such as baroque, classical, jazz, flamenco, world, folk music and even rock.

Having had the privilege to travel, study and live in different countries and continents, as well as being exposed to a variety of cultures, music genres, styles and traditions, Roman brings a life of diversity to his remarkable music.

Roman is a classically trained guitarist. He obtained his musical education from the Tallinn Music Conservatory in Estonia, the Rubin Academy of Music in Israel, and the Academy of Music in Kassel, Germany.

Roman’s compositions are influenced by great artists like J.S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, A. Piazzolla, Wolfgang Lendle, Paco de Lucia, John Scofield, Herbie Hancock and many others.

Since 2008 Roman lives in Canada and regularly performs with solo programs, duets, trios, quartets and small orchestras. These performances feature a variety of musicians, from classical string quartets to jazz ensembles, opera singers and different ethnic instruments like Chinese Pipa and Arabic Oud.

In 2016 Roman won the Independent Music Award (IMA) in the instrumental song category for his single “Reflection 1”. In 2017 he was nominated for an IMA in the instrumental song category for his single “Ciento Viente”. This single also won the Honorable Prize in the Nashville ISC in 2017. Roman’s single “Kuwaka” was nominated for an ISC award in 2018. Roman’s album “Reflections” was nominated for an IMA in New York in 2019.

   Andrew Leshkin was born in Tallinn, Estonia. From a very early age he was inspired by music and took up numerous instruments – piano, guitar and drums. His passion for music droves him to a high professional level in performance as well as composition. Over the years he became known for his playing style, which is both expressive and evocative. Andrew also supports cultural projects in Estonia and abroad.
