Just a bit north of the Riga-Pskov highway stands the Luhamaa Church, on the highest hill in Hindsa village. The church's most important holiday is Ascension Day. The people of Luhamaa belonged for a long time to the Pankjavitsa congregation, but since services were in Russian, and it was far, they built their own church. At the end of the 1920s, a local school and orchestra were founded here, and they began to collect money for building a new church. The effort was successful, and in 1932, the new church was finished. The congregation's cemetery is by the church.
Drive along the Võru Luhamaa highway until you reach the Riga-Pihkva highway, turn left in the direction of Pihkva and continue for 1 km. Turn left in the direction of Hindsa. Follow the signs, and the church is located on the right hand side.
