English rock band Placebo in front of Estonian audiences again after seven years
English rock band Placebo will play again on 14 October 2022 in Tallinn, in the Blackbox of Saku Suurhall, after 7 years. Tickets go on sale to the general public at Piletilevi on 17 November at 11 am.
With 25 years in the business and more than 13 million albums sold, Placebo does a great job of capturing the essence of the human condition just as it is. The band's unique way of showing both the flaws and the beauty has for years been a refuge for those who feel shackled by tradition and trapped by the mainstream.
The band's musical influences include David Bowie, Nirvana, Depeche Mode and Iggy Pop, who will also be in Estonia this summer. Placebo made a breakthrough on the music scene in 1997 with the release of the single "Nancy Boy". The song was instantly popular because of its content, which transcended the boundaries of the groove.
Placebo has collaborated with a variety of artists over the years, including David Bowie, Justin Warfield, Michael Stipe and Alison Mosshart. To date, they have released seven studio albums, all of which have reached the top 20 in the UK, and sold around 13 million copies worldwide.
In September, the band released their first new single in over five years, 'Beautiful James', and promised more fresh music to come soon. Placebo's most famous tracks include 'Every You Every Me' and 'The Bitter End’.
