Printing and Paper Museum

The Printing and Paper Museum is located in the Boot Factory. Here, you can see how paper is made, admire paper sculptures, historical printing presses, wooden and lead typefaces, as well as a variety of thematic and temporary exhibitions.
Workshops are regularly held at the museum; for example, on papermaking, printing posters, and binding handmade notebooks. The museum also operates as a printing house and organises courses for art students. There is plenty to discover here for specialists, as well as for families with children.

  • Cute and interactive museum

This isn’t just one of those boring museums where you go through and just look at old stuff. Each part of the museum is interactive and you can actually get your hands on stuff and see how it works...

  • Very special small museum

Highly fascinating small private museum. Absolutely must to visit for everyone no matter if you related in printing business or not. And thanks a lot to people who make it possible.

  • A must see museum in Tartu!

One of my favourite museums in town! The staff are very well informed and offer an excellent tour plus very interesting hands-on projects and activities!
