Edith Kotka-Nyman (4 May 1932, Tallinn – 7 April 2017 Stockholm) was the Goodwill Ambassador for Rakvere who contributed to the tight and fruitful cooperation between Rakvere and the Commune of Sigtuna, Sweden after the Republic of Estonia regained its independence. She taught Estonian and introduced the culture and history of Estonia and Rakvere.

Edith Kotka was born in Tallinn, but spent her childhood in Rakvere. She lived here until she was 8, then the family escaped to Sweden. The sculptural ensemble created by sculptor Gea Sibola Hansen and architect Mai Šein in honour of Edith Kotka-Nyman is located at Pikk Street 22.
