Tallinn Zoo has the most exciting collection of animals out of all the Nordic countries! It is home to giant elephants and rhinos, dangerous predators, monkeys, polar bears, and many other exotic species. The Tallinn Zoo also has one of the best exhibits of ibexes and mountain sheep in the world.
By visiting the Tallinn Zoo, you support species conservation activities. By purchasing a donation ticket, visitors can support the protection of the endangered Sumatran rhino and the endangered small cat species – the manul – in the wild.

Getting there

The Tallinn Zoo is located just a 15-minute-drive from the city centre. The zoo can be accessed from two gates: the Northern Gate (Paldiski maantee 145). Bus stop Zoo by buses 21, 21B, 22, 37, 41, 41B, 42, and 43. The Western Gate (Ehitajate tee 150). Bus stop Meistri by buses 10, 12, 16, 26, 26A, 27, 28, 45, 46, and 61. You can also come by taxi: it is a 15-minute drive from the city centre (port) and costs 10 to 15 euros.

Zoo that is getting better every year

Great zoo with lots of animals. Some of the animals had tiny cages but this is chancing due the constructions that are going on. Zoo has lots of space on the area so I’ll hope they get good size...

Misery

I felt bad for all the animals. Many were clearly in distress due to their tiny enclosures. Animals being kept out in the cold. Park was empty and miserable.

A GREAT VISIT TO A GREAT ZOO!!!

We went here on a Monday and we basically had the entire zoo to ourselves. All the animals were friendly and engaged with us. The Polar Bear, Elephant, Alpaca, Lemur, all the animals in the petting...
