In the summer of 2021, the Republic of Estonia celebrated the 30th anniversary of its re-independence. Tallinn Song Festival Grounds played a very significant role in the event. After all, it was there where the national gatherings condemned by the authorities took place, where they talked about the independence of the Estonian people, made music, and supported the whole movement. A visitor centre was established on Tallinn Song Festival Grounds to commemorate the entire era and events.

You can take a bus from the city centre to the Song Festival Grounds: get off at Lauluväljak, the nearest entrance is through the Sea gates which are located about 200 metres from the stop (walk back towards the city). Buses No. 1A, 5, 8, 34A, and 38 to stop 'Oru' and the nearest entrance is through the Oru gates, which are located about 100 metres from the stop (on the other side of the road). Buses No. 19, 29, 35, 44, 51, 60, and 63 to stop 'Lasnamägi' and the nearest entrance is through the Hill gates, which are located about 200 metres from the stop (on the other side of the road).
