Tartu Environmental Education Centre encourages people to value nature and behave in an environmentally friendly way. We are a piece of nature right in the heart of Tartu, offering relaxing and exciting and educational activities for both young and old visitors.

Tartu Environmental Education Centre offers: temporary exhibitions and summer special exhibitions on nature, permanent exhibition ‘Transparent nature house, species-rich winter garden, animal room (pre-bookings), some educational task trails, environmentally friendly souvenirs and snacks, excursions (pre-bookings), a park wit study trails, flower beds and playground.

Getting there

Tartu Environmental Education Centre is a short walk away from the bus stop Kesklinn and the bus station. Walk along Kalevi tänav from the city centre and turn right at the first opportunity (not the car park of the Court Hourse) onto Lille tänav. Tartu Environmental Education Centre will be on your left on Lille tänav (when coming from Kalevi tänav). There is a bike parking in front of the building. When coming by car, you can park on Lille tänav, which is located in Zone B, meaning that you can park for free for 1.5 hours with a parking clock on business days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
