Tavern Karja Kelder (Karja Celler)

Karja Kelder is probably the oldest tavern in Tallinn, since beer was produced on these premises as early as in 1832. The successful brewery was called “Revalia”. In 1912, a businessman called G.Gutkin bought the premises and in 1924, he built a front door and stairs leading to the basement and down there, our tavern is still open.
Today, you can choose from nearly 50 different beers at Karja Kelder and we also offer a wide variety of meals. Additionally, we have live music on every Saturday evening from autumn to spring.

    I thought this place overrated when I went there. The staff were not particularly warm and the food, though cheapish by local standards was uninspiring. There are cheaper places to drink in the Old...

  • Atmospheric cellar pub

    Had lunch here on our last day in Tallin and wished we'd tried it earlier. Food was very reasonably priced and very tasty. Beer was excellent and the staff were amazing.

  • Good pubfood

    The traditional pub foods here are great. A regular place to visit when ever I come to Tallinn. Pigs tongue with horseradish sauce is the favorite for me.
