The Tüki cycling trail passes through important bird nesting places, offering nature lovers a lot to discover. The trail includes the Ilmatsalu artificial lake and river, fish ponds, a birdwatching tower, a 25 m long arch bridge, and several campfire sites where camping is also allowed.
The 7 km long cycling trail that starts at the Tenno campfire site leads south along fields, fish ponds, and forest roads to the settlement of Ilmatsalu. From there, the trail runs along the river bank with beautiful views and forest with diverse communities, back to the campsite.
The gravel road and semi-natural riverside soils may be slippery in rainy weather.
Drive 6 km from Tartu to Ilmatsalu; then, cross the reservoir bridge and turn left at the first possibility. Drive 1.5 km along a gravel road to Tenno campfire site; the marked trail begins at the car park. The car park can fit 10 cars.
