Uuejärve nature trail in North Kõrvemaa is a trail running on a versatile and interesting terrain. The circle-shaped track is 6 km long and marked with yellow sings on trees. On the route you can discover different types of forest, Vargamäe esker, Soviet army campsite and old farmsteads. If you happen to walk the trail during the right season, you can find blueberries, cranberries and cloudberries there.
Nearby you will find the Venemäe camping site where you can use a fire pit, pavilion of firewood, pergola-type small house and an outhouse. You can also visit the Venemäe watchtower which offers impressive views!
During winter, the nature trail is not maintained.
Turn left, onto the gravel road, at the 30th kilometre of Jägala-Käravete Road (road No. 13). Then, continue for 400 meters until you see a signpost indicating the beginning of the nature trail next to the road. You can park your car next to the road. It is also possible to start the hike from the Sportland Kõrvemaa Hiking and Ski Centre. When coming from Tallinn, take Piibe Road and turn left about 200 meters after the 31st kilometre post. There, you will see the parking lot of the centre.
