VIIERISTI KARJÄÄR, Mässa küla, Saaremaa vald, Saare maakond
The hiking trail, located on the Sõrve uplands in the Viieristi Nature Reserve, is just the right length. The picturesque Viieristi study trail leads through a primeval forest, over wild dunes, and reaches the Kõrgema Võluallikas (magic spring). The trail also has small information boards that introduce the mysterious Lake Koltsejärve, the primeval forest, rare plants, and the hills of Viieristi. The hiking trail crosses an old railway embankment, near which you can see evergreen ivy clinging to the trees with its vines. It's a place where in autumn you can see this plant bloom, which is rare in Estonia.
Good to know: the trail goes back and forth.
Drive 35 km on the Kuressaare-Sääre highway. Park your car along the road. Follow the sign "RMK matkarada".
