Otepää will host the latest Olympic champions in biathlon

On 10-13 March, the world's best biathletes will come together in Otepää to compete in the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon. It will be the first biathlon world cup held in the Baltic states.

For four days, the world's best biathletes will be competing on the trails of Otepää, including the latest Olympic champions Quentin Fillon Maillet and Denise Herrmann. Over 200 athletes from 29 countries are expected in Otepää. Many biathlon elites are already familiar with Tehvandi Sports Centre from the early years of their career. Otepää has previously been the host of both the Junior and IBU World Cup Competitions and the European Championships.

Estonian biathlon fans are used to following the competition on Estonian Public Broadcasting, but now they have the opportunity to see how these broadcasts are made in real life. Thanks to the TV broadcast, the competition at Tehvandi Sports Centre will reach millions of biathlon fans all over Europe. Estonian Public Broadcasting will use 30 cameras to bring the competition to the audience live.

Spectators can enjoy the competition by the trail, at the ski stadium, shooting range or the VIP stands. You can get the best experience by the trail where you can see biathlon elites flying past from just a few metres away. There will also be screens installed on different locations along the trail broadcasting everything taking place on the shooting range.
