Mulgi Skating Marathon 2018

The skating rink on the ice of Lake Viljandi welcomes all skating enthusiasts before and after the marathon; you can check the situation on the lake via a webcam that is available at www.rattaklubi.ee. Provided the real frosts of winter arrive, Mulgi Skating Marathon is going to celebrate its 8th anniversary in January 2018, and all skating enthusiasts from Estonia are welcome!

Otepää Sauna Marathon

This sauna marathon sees registered teams attempting to experience as many of the saunas in and around Otepää as possible over a period of 6 hours. The start is at midday, with teams being given orienteering maps. All of the members of a team must be in each sauna for at least 3 minutes, with bonus points for dips in ice holes and cold water pools and use of other attractions provided by the sauna owners. The team that visits all of the saunas in the shortest time wins, with awards presented to them with the sauna owners at Kääriku Sport Centre. Bring your friends and join in on the fun!

Tartu Marathon 2018

Tartu Marathon is the largest ski marathon in Eastern Europe, which brings together nearly 10,000 participants each year. The Tartu Marathon tracks are located in the beautiful Southern Estonia and it is possible to choose between 63 and 31 km distances. Foreign visitors have said that this trail is one of the most beautiful and interesting ones in the world. Tartu Marathon is part of the international Worldloppet cross-country skiing series.

Noarootsi Sauna Rally

Just like last year, Noarootsi Sauna Rally aims to bring visitors to Noarootsi from near and afar to introduce them to the Noarootsi region and the local companies. We will heat up a lot of saunas – among others, a smoke sauna and various mobile saunas. Participants can go for a swim in ice-cold water and test their knowledge on the history of Noarootsi. Caterers offer the opportunity to try the local dishes to participants as well as spectators.

Winter Swimming Championships

This fun sporting event is meant for people of all ages. The event will be held in the town centre – in the Admiralty Basin of the Port of Tallinn, where more than 100 winter swimmers from 50 countries will compete at 25, 50, 100, and 200 metre distances both individually and in teams. Winter Swimming Championships are held every two years. It is also possible to swim without being timed and simply enjoy a quick swim in the ice cold water.

Tallinn Music Week

Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is one of the biggest indoor music festivals in the Baltic and Nordic region that presents a line-up of around 200 artists from Estonia and abroad, representing various musical genres. The number of Festival participants from Estonia and elsewhere reaches 25,000. In addition to the main programme of the Festival that takes place in the most important clubs and concert venues of Tallinn, you can also explore the lesser known parts of town during the Tallinn Music Week. Across Tallinn, City Stage concerts take place; you can also participate in the discussion series TMW Talks, the restaurant festival TMW Tastes, the contemporary art programme TMW Arts and the artisan beer festival Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend.
