Do you enjoy walking around in Balti Jaam and its surroundings? Your stroll will become even more enjoyable and interesting in February, when you can visit the World Press Photo Exhibition 2019, showcasing the stories that matter with photography from the 2019 Photo Contest.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Estonia, in cooperation with the Estonian Association for Press Photographers, Overall Eesti AS, AS GO Group and Postimees, will bring the World Press Photo Exhibition 2019 from 11 until 29 February to Tallinn's Balti Jaam Passenger Terminal.

What is the World Press Photo Exhibition?
For over six decades, the World Press Photo Foundation has been working from its home in Amsterdam as an independent, nonprofit organization. It all began in 1955 when a group of Dutch photographers organized an international contest - "World Press Photo" - to expose their work to a global audience. Soon, the step was taken to creating an annual contest, which has been held almost every year since then. Today, World Press Photo finds itself in the position where it not only runs the world's most prestigious contest of photojournalism, but administers the world's widest-ranging annual photo exhibition and offers a breadth of related activities.

The annual World Press Photo Exhibition showcases the best visual journalism of the last year. The exhibition premieres each year in Amsterdam in April, before beginning its worldwide tour.
