Best Co-living Spaces in Tallinn and in the Countryside of Estonia

You are coming to Estonia but don't know where to stay? For digital nomads seeking balance between comfort, productivity, and leisure, we've curated a list of top-notch co-living spaces (or great alternatives) in Tallinn and in the countryside where you can relax in nature. Our handpicked selection covers perfect spots for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and remote workers to meet like-minded people and create meaningful connections that can last a lifetime.

TALLINN

Hektor is the Container Hotel where nature, design, comfort, and green thinking meet up with the vibrant life of Tallinn. It is in the old depot station, inside the house that has been here since the end of the 19th century.  There is only one container hotel in the Baltics so far.

Hektor Container Hotel was opened in February 2020 – a month before the first covid-19 lockdown in Estonia, which is why 84 newly built rooms stayed empty for a few months.  Experiencing the pandemic was not out of the blue. Still, the quick and adaptive team decided to take the challenge and changed the hotel's business model to keep the doors open. Instead of offering short stays for the tourists who didn't come because travelling was somewhat complicated, the hotel provided extended stay opportunities to those searching for a place to stay in Tallinn. This is how the Hektor Community was created – people worldwide moved into the hotel for the long stay purpose. People worldwide decided to start a co-living concept because the hotel has everything one needs: a fully equipped hotel room with a 160cm wide bed, a working desk, a co-working area, high-speed internet, a communal kitchen, a yoga space, and a cafeteria. It became a home for many digital nomads searching for their Tallinn family and home.
