Location

Teemeistri, Varbuse küla, Kanepi vald, Põlva maakond

Getting there

The museum is located 48 km from Tartu, 22 km from Võru and 12 km from Põlva. It is the easiest and fastest to come to the museum from Tartu: take the Võru road from Tartu and drive until you get to the Reola crossing. Turn left towards Põlva. When you reach the county border in Liiva, indicated by the sign of Põlva County, turn right from the main road to the old Tartu-Võru road aka the Postal Road. You pass through the villages of Vooreküla, Karilatsi and Ihamaru on the twisty and narrow Postal Road. The last complicated part is the Ihamaru crossing, where you need to go straight and then you'll reach the Road Museum after 5 km.
