The Poruni hiking trail winds through ancient forest and along the banks of the Poruni River, which flows into the Narva River. Partly a forest track, but mostly a boardwalk, the trail showcases the diversity of its natural setting – the plants, birds and other species that call Poruni home. The full trail is 10 km long, there and back, but you can also do a 3 km circuit. There is a car park and information board at the starting/finishing point of the trail.
Did you know…? *In the 18th century the banks of the Poruni River were the site of one of Estonia’s oldest glass workshops – the Gorodenko glass factory

Follow the Jõhvi-Vasknarva road to Lake Peipus. At the Permisküla intersection, take the turning to Permisküla and Kuningaküla, follow the signs to these villages and then drive on to Gorodenka. When you reach Gorodenka, drive into the forest and following the hiking trail signs.
