The delicacies of history lovers are not only located on the coasts and in the cities, but there are also sights worth discovering towards the inland. The ruins of a stronghold of ancient Estonians lie in the middle of swamps and forests in the ancient Soontagana area. Mihkli Church, which was mentioned already in the 13th century, is the oldest building in West Estonia.
