See photos (7) A stronghold once stood here which clearly formed the defensive centre for the entire surrounding area. The small hill fort dates back to the 6th century, while the larger one dates from the 11th century. Part of the external wall of the small fort and the internal wall and gate aperture of the large fort have been restored.
The Pada hill forts are just off the Tallinn-Narva highway.
