Visit Estonia 2024 rep agencies' meet-up, June 10-13

2024 representatives' meet-up, June 10 - 13, vol 4

We are delighted to announce a Team Estonia get-together, June 10 - 13! This will be the 4th edition of our meet-ups and will gather our B2B representation agencies as well as our PR agencies and Visit Estonia B2B and media teams.
Some of you are familiar with quite a few corners of Estonia and some are first-timers, but this time we decided that our FAM trip will bring us to a less talked-about area - Northeast Estonia (Ida-Viru)! Like before, there will be opportunities to get to experience the place but also a chance to learn from each other's experience promoting Estonia (stay tuned for some homework).

Scroll down for the itinerary (details are added as we go) and read some more about where we are headed!

NB! June is the month with longest daylight, to enjoy the famous white nights, but it also can be moody sometimes. As per usual, we suggest to keep a waterproof jacket at hand and something warmer along too, there might be surprises, especially for longer outdoor stays😊

Our team here is sure we will have a good time like the previous meet-ups have proven!

Your itinerary:

Monday, June 10th

Individual arrivals -> we allow ourselves to assume that you are experienced enough to either take the taxi or public transport to the city centre 😊
We recommend downloading the BOLT app (that is available also in several other countries), this Estonian platform gets you a car with very reasonable prices!

Check in to the hotel Citybox in the ferry harbour area.

19:00 we gather at the hotel lobby for a tram ride to the welcome dinner;
19:30 Dinner in the restaurant Mon Repos, in Kadriorg area

For the very late arrivers we wish a good night's sleep before the next day's endeavours!

Overnight stay in hotel Citybox, an automated hotel with a self-service check in, however for our group there will be assisted check in.

Tuesday, June 11th

09:10 please be checked out and ready for a day packed with discoveries and ideas!
09:15 departure  by bus towards the northeast. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes (clothing in layers is always a good idea), as we are going to be a bit outdoorsy later on.
11:15 arrival to Aidu - a water activity centre that is a great example of repurposing and transformation! It used to be a part of an oil shale mining operation, now a unique multifunctional recreational site and a popular spot for activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and wakeboarding, with its extensive network of water bodies with steep banks and clear waters. We will divide ourselves into groups, to try activities of different kind like hiking and boating etc.
13.30 Lunch will be served in a nearby Toila Mereresto, after which, at 14:30, we will set the stage in the same venue for some thought exchange! The exact timetable will be presented on the spot, each country has 15min to speak and present.

The assigment:

* Travelling trends in your market that are relatable to marketing Estonia (insights, changes, news etc).
* Which aspects you plan to put the emphasis on, when marketing Estonia for the upcoming year?

PS in the countries where there are a separate PR and B2B agency, it would be lovely if you consolidated your ideas and presentation (UK, Sweden).

17:40 we will have the opportunity to see Toila (close by), a picturesque park, in its heyday with a unique VR experience in Toila

19:30 check in to Meresuu spa hotel
20:15 dinner in Franzia (20min walk)

Evening option to walk at the beach behind our hotel, also check out the surfclub and bar at the beach.
