Hellenurm Watermill programme "From water to bread or making flour in a mill and bread in a bakery"
Coming to Elva gives you the unique opportunity to see Hellenurme Watermill, the last watermill in Estonia still producing flour and various other grain products.
Upon arrival, life-long miller Harri starts the turbines to show visitors how flour, semolina and grits are made. The miller's wife then begins her lesson on combining the flour, water and bread starter for baking in a bread oven. Over a quick break, you can also enjoy a cup of tea and listen to the wisdom of Estonia's foremothers before finally taking home the warm bread you just made.
