Tamme Outcrop Landscape Protection Area is located on the eastern shore of Lake Võrtsjärv in the area between Tamme and Neemisküla Village in Rannu Rural Municipality and is rich in Devon sandstone outcrops from the Aruküla layer. Tamme Outcrop is known as the area where placoderms have been found and where valuable paleontological material has been collected since the second half of the 19th century.
10 information boards have been set up on the hiking track that is almost 2 km long and they give interesting information about local nature.
