Soviet Era Tour

Estonia’s time in the Soviet Union, from 1940 to 1991, has left a lasting impression. Traces of Soviet architecture, industry and artifacts can still be found across the country. Some of Tallinn’s most recognisable landmarks like the Song Festival Grounds, TV Tower, Linnahall and Hotel Viru were constructed during soviet times. The KGB Museum, Museum of Occupations and People’s Front Museum tell the tales of spies, prisoners and peaceful resistance on Estonia’s path to independence. A visit to these sites will transport you back in time.
