Discovering Viimsi, the home of coastal folk, on your own

View on map

People say that Viimsi is the home of the coastal folk. Just 15 km from the centre of Tallinn, the peninsula is a combination of modern solutions and ancient coastal culture. The most famous attractions are the Museum of Coastal Folk and the lovely seaside Viimsi Open Air Museum. The recommended route is 28 km long. There are no bicycle rentals in Viimsi; we recommend starting from the Viimsi Centre by your own bicycle.
In addition, you can easily get to Prangli Island from Viimsi (from Leppneeme Harbour).
