Järvselja Primeval Forest Hiking Trail

The wonderful Järvselja Nature Protection Area is surrounded by a bog on almost all sides. Järvselja Hiking Trail introduces the forest surrounding the centre for forestry study and research. The trail is diverse and passes through a number of forests, as well as Estonia's oldest forest protection area. Be sure to look for the Kuningamänd (King's Pine), which is over 360 years old!

Järvselja Hiking Trail and the primeval forest represent one of the 21 best attractions of Southern Estonia, marked with the yellow frame of National Geographic.

You can choose a suitable trail: from 3.5 to 5 km.
The trail partially runs on a boardwalk. There is a field training class, two camping huts, and two toilets on the trail.
