Dance performance "Left home ..." starts from the understanding of mother tongue as a resource of means for free self-expression, and not only in verbal communication but also in dance, singing, instrumental music and clothing, which all get a richer meaning if we are able to use the knowledge and skills of our mother tongue.
Folklore ensemble Leigarid has been active for 50 years. In the jubilee performance we seek and value our verbal, musical, bodily and visual mother tongue which makes us capable of meaningful communication among ourselves and with the surrounding environment.
The jubilee performance will take place on October 12 at 6 p.m. in Alexela Concert Hall.
