Toompuiestee 8, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn
This small and cosy place is run by the Koržets family, who are passionate about fish. Catfish or Baltic sprat, cod or pike perch, sturgeon or whitefish – first and foremost, you will be served fish dishes that are popular among Estonians. The menu also includes some fish-free meals, in order to create a perfect combination of flavours.
Vladislav, the good-natured owner with a wonderful sense of humour, has found the best possible name for the restaurant through a play on words: fish in Estonian is kala, which is served here, and kalambuur is a pun, which is also a frequent occurrence here.
