24 Hours in Põlva is an urban festival which is designed, for one weekend, to shake things up in a small and otherwise unprepossessing country town. Põlva’s pulse will be racing day and night as part of this family festival, which has something for everyone: concerts, parties, workshops, exhibitions, kids’ attractions, sports events, the Põlva County fair and much more.
 
What will be taking place?
CONCERTS on the town square, in the central library and in Põlva Cultural Centre: KARL-ERIK TAUKAR BAND, REKET, KARMID TORUD and others PARTIES all over town: in the Cultural Centre’s ühe Ö club, in the courtyard of the Ku Ke gallery, at the Käbliku bar and on its terrace, at the Kino and Aal nightclubs, at the Vana Vaksali pub, on the terrace of Tillu café and elsewhere KIDS’ ATTRACTIONS: Bubbleball, mini-golf, archery ranges, a merry-go-round, a bungee trampoline, the Ahhaa Science Theatre and exciting attractions from the Ahhaa Science Centre (Oskar the robot, backwards scooter, air cannon and balloon photo booth) SPORTS EVENTS: Health-boosting hour-long walks around Lake Põlva and a kids’ fun run in the town’s stadium ‘TECHNO/ROBO/GAME’ PROGRAMME at Põlva Youth Centre: Computer tech display, robotics workshops, VR games competitions, outdoor activities and a pop-up café HOP-ON, HOP-OFF: Excursions around the town and fun trips on a double-decker bus BEACH VIBES: Boats and canoes, plus wakeboarding at the Wakepark
 
EXHIBITIONS:
* ‘The Kratt Metaphor’ photographic exhibition at Põlva Cultural Centre (opening on 30 May 2024) The Kratt metaphor is a photographic collaboration between Eugénie Baccot, Cyril Abad, and the artificial intelligence called MidJourney.
 
* The Cultural Centre’s modern art gallery, Ku Ke, opening on 31 May
2024 with the ‘Childhood Punk’ exhibition curated by Margret Paide
 
The full programme will be unveiled in April 2024.
