Lambakogu in Saaremaa

KAJU, Karala küla, Saaremaa vald, Saare maakond

View on map

A world of stone sheep with a wonderful flower garden on almost three hectares. In this humorous world, there is the Lambakogu with 101 sheep and the pooping sheep of Karala - a local rival to the famous Manneken Pis in Brussels. There is also a sheep's military parade, which has been visited by the generals Põder (Moose) and Karu (Bear) from neighbouring countries. Together with the sheep, they form the neighbourhood support organisation, or NATO.

Demonstrators, service personnel, journalist-paparazzo and many other stone-hearted statues can also be found in the area. As the Lambakogu has approved a sheep tax, visitors have to pay it.
