Mulgi hayfield

Mulgi hayfield is a picturesque sparse woodland which is lovely to visit in every season.

The meadows near rivers in Soomaa have all been used as hayfields, because the local grass is very lush and provides a lot of hay harvest – which is probably the reason why this place has such a lovely name.

The beautiful landscape is made even more magnificent by the mysteriously meandering river Lemmjõgi, which can be crossed on a unique cultural piece – an arch bridge with an iron structure and wooden covering. The rest area on the shore of the river is very inviting and acts as a perfect location for enjoying the surroundings any time of the year.
