You are welcome to the Vanemuine Concert Hall in Tartu, the cradle of Estonian education and culture.
The present building was erected in 1970 (architects A Volberg, P Tarvas, U Tölpus) to replace the one that was destroyed in the Second World War. It was renovated in 1998 (architect A Kuldkepp) and the latest extension was completed in 2001.
In addition to being a well-loved concert venue, Vanemuine Concert Hall is also a modern conference centre which in addition to beautiful music promotes clever thoughts and knowledge. In addition to sharing its name with the theatre, the centre is also housed in the same building as the theatre.
