We will leave our cars at the top of the Kuusnõmme peninsula, where we will pack our backpacks and start our journey. As we find our way through the sea, we will cross the islets and once we reach Vilsandi, a car will pick the group up for a meal. Then, we will drive to the lighthouse overlooking the islands of Vaika – here, the nature conservation of the entire Baltic area began in 1910.
On the island, we will get to know the characteristics of the nature in Vilsandi and hear stories about life on the island. A lot of famous shipbuilders and sailors have grown up in Vilsandi. We will return to Saaremaa by boat.
You can wear sporty attire (a swimwear in the summer) and closed shoes. Be sure to pack a change of clothes and shoes.
The hike has been recognised with the EHE (Genuine and Interesting Estonia) quality mark.
